Hope Pregnancy Care Clinic Leadership

Sally Trent

Executive Director/Nurse

Welcome!

As a young nurse, I remember assisting a woman admitted with a miscarriage. She was only 16 weeks along and the baby was thought to be deceased. After the delivery, the tiny infant was wrapped in a blanket and placed in a small crib in the corner. While the other nursing staff was busy helping the mother, I stepped back and heard a small squeaking sound coming from the crib; I turned, picked the baby up and as I did, she moved. I didn't know what else to do, so, I quickly pulled the baby up to my chest and held her close to my heart. As if seeking comfort, she seemed to snuggle close to me and in just a few minutes, the child did pass. I will never forget that encounter.

I truly love being here at Hope Pregnancy Clinic and I am honored to be available to those who need me. It has been a genuine blessing to be able to reach out to those who feel alone and frightened and reveal to them the love of Jesus. As I serve women, men, and families who come to Hope seeking help in their time of unplanned/unwanted pregnancy, I think about the child I held as she passed.

My ministry here is to educate families about their options; many are unaware that the pregnancy they are experiencing is but the expression of a developing, living, being. Many will work to convince you that your baby is nothing but a clump of cells-"fetal tissue" is typically the term used to ease the discomfort associated with the term "baby." We are thankful that we now have an ultrasound machine to show you that your child is in fact more than a clump of cells- he/she is a beautiful living miracle given to you, to bless your life, by the Lord, himself. We want women, men, and families to choose life. I will not force you, I will not discourage you, I will not show you any lack of compassion in your difficult circumstances. My goal is for you to leave here, no matter what, feeling loved, supported and more knowledgeable about your circumstances than when you came in. I love you, and I am here for you. No matter what, I will not abandon you.

Greetings!

I believe all life is a gift from God and to be celebrated. The creation of life is a miracle. Each day, my prayer is that I am able to extend grace to everyone I encounter- just as God's grace is in me. I know that life can have many difficulties but I firmly believe God always has a plan. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

Hi, I'm Tyra!

You are our "why." People like you, who seek support, resources, education, love, etc. are the reason we're here. Your story...your situation...your feelings... are the heartbeat of our clinic. We love you before we ever meet you. We pray for you before we ever hear your needs. We believe that you have EVERYTHING it takes to not only overcome your fear and circumstances, but to persevere with brilliant grace. While material resources are, of course, important, I believe that empowering you and your family is the greatest support we can give you.

Hi! I'm Joyce Marin,

I was an elementary school teacher for thirty years; something I learned during that time is that every child is unique and has a special gift. This philosophy reaffirmed my life long belief that every life created by God is SO special. Every life is a miracle of development. As a volunteer, I want to support the wonderful work this clinic provides for the women, men, and families who seek our help. I have such a heart for your story and I want to be here for you and help you in your journey of parenting your precious miracle child.
